UNK – Brooke Scripter, a music education and vocal performance major from Holdrege, will perform a senior vocal recital on Friday, April 9, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The recital, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall, is free and open to the public. Scripter, a soprano, studies voice with Dr. Anne Foradori, UNK music and performing arts professor.
Scripter’s recital will feature a variety of compositions by Robert Schumann including “Seit ich ihn gesehen” and “Er, der Herrlichste von allen.” She will also perform “Ich folge dir gleichfalls” by J.S. Bach; “Fetes Galantes” by Reynaldo Hahn; “Oh! Quand Je Dors” by Franz Liszt; and “On This Island” by Benjamin Britten.
Scripter will be accompanied on flute by Dr. Allison Fletcher of Shelton and Dr. Marilyn Musick of Kearney on piano.
Scripter is the daughter of Diane Scripter of Holdrege.
