Cesar Chavez Celebration Cultural Awareness

(Silent processional at 2:00 p.m.) from the Atrium to the Bell Tower for a prayer, then march back to the Atrium)
Everyone is invited to participate in the silent processional.

There will be a display of Cesar Chavez’s work in the Atrium of the Union from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 6.
“Cesar Chavez (1927-1993) Cesar Chavez was born on March 31, 1927 in Yuma, Arizona. He was a true American hero, a civil rights, farmworker and labor leader. He is the founder of the United Farm Workers Union. This Union was the first successful farmworkers Union in American history to gain countless rights and protections such as fair wages, medical coverage, pension benefits and humane living conditions for hundreds of thousands of farm workers.”
