KEARNEY – University of Nebraska at Kearney students in the play direction class will present their work this week during a production titled “A Look Through the Masks.”
The show features four distinct one-act plays directed by UNK students Zane Blomenkamp of Mitchell, Ciri Dittmer of Clarks, Isabelle Stroot of Hastings and Logan Vraspir of Hastings. Each student director selected their own script at the beginning of the semester and led rehearsals for several weeks.
The roughly 30-minute plays – “Oedi” and “I Didn’t Know You Could Cook” by Rich Orloff, “Into the Violet” by Tara Meddaugh and “Shel’s Sister” by Terrence Ortwein – will be performed in succession with one intermission.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday in the Studio Theatre on campus. General admission tickets are $5 for the public and free for UNK students with a valid ID.
