Luke Przymus takes home crown at King of Hearts pageant

UNK’s Alpha Phi sorority hosted its 11th annual King of Hearts male pageant Thursday night at the Merryman Performing Arts Center in Kearney.

Nine contestants representing various UNK fraternities, student organizations and athletic teams competed in dance, music, talent and interview sessions before a panel of guest judges selected the overall winner.

Luke Przymus, representing Sigma Phi Epsilon, received the coveted title of Mr. King of Hearts.

Other winners were:
Mr. People’s Choice – Jacob Stegman, representing the Kearney Health Opportunities Program
Mr. Congeniality – Sam Schroeder, representing the Kearney Law Opportunities Program
Mr. Talented – Caleb Wiseman, representing Loper Catholic
Mr. Popular – Jack Aschwege, representing Pi Kappa Alpha

Other contestants were:
Jacob Howe, representing the Teacher Scholars Academy
Nolan Dart, representing Delta Tau DeltaDerek Pfeifer, representing the Honors ProgramGarret Hoefs, representing UNK football

Proceeds benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports women’s cardiac care and student scholarships, and the S.A.F.E. Center, a Kearney-based nonprofit that assists people impacted by domestic and sexual violence.
