Loper Opera performs works from Gilbert and Sullivan

UNK’s Loper Opera performed “With Cat-Like Tread: An Amazing Evening of W.S. Gilbert & Arthur Sullivan” on Wednesday night at the Fine Arts Recital Hall.

The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance performance featured selections from three of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operettas – “Ruddigore,” “The Gondoliers” and “H.M.S. Pinafore.”

The program was directed and narrated by music professor Anne Foradori with music direction and piano by collaborative pianist Mirim Kim and choreography by associate dance professor Noelle Bohaty. UNK junior Victoria Nimneh worked as the stage manager and production assistant.

The cast consisted of UNK students Steven Boldt, Janaeha Dinkel, Richard Harbols, Daisy Hawkins, Malcolm Hinze, Stephen Johnson, Madison Miller and Cole Perkins, as well as adjunct music lecturer Eileen Jahn.
