AACSB International is a global, nonprofit association that connects educators, students and businesses with a goal of creating the next generation of great leaders. Synonymous with the highest standards of excellence, the association provides quality assurance, business education intelligence and learning and development services to over 1,700 member organizations and more than 840 accredited business schools worldwide.

“While we have maintained this accreditation for 15 years now, this is an important time for us to celebrate. This reflects very positively on our students, who thoroughly impressed the peer-review team, as well as our faculty and staff, who work tirelessly to ensure our students receive the best education possible,” said UNK College of Business and Technology Dean Tim Jares.

Charlie Bicak, senior vice chancellor for academic and student affairs, stated: “The outcomes of this effort are evidenced by the near 100% placement of graduates from many of the departments in the college in high-demand, high-skill and high-wage professions. The continuing accreditation of the College of Business and Technology by AACSB is a testament to the dedication of the faculty and leadership in the college. It speaks highly of the emphasis placed on academic quality by Dean Tim Jares and the faculty.”

When educational, professional and business organizations become members of the AACSB Business Education Alliance, they are part of a united movement to improve the quality of business education around the world. AACSB connects, shares and inspires innovation and quality throughout the member network, as well as the business community.

“The AACSB accreditation process is among the most rigorous I have seen,” Jares said. “It assures your faculty have the right qualifications and currency, that your curriculum processes drive currency, relevancy and clear learning outcomes, and that you are engaged with and impacting your community, your students and all of your stakeholders.”
