The University of Nebraska at Kearney is adjusting parking and traffic flow to accommodate ongoing abatement work and the upcoming demolition of the Otto Olsen building.
Lot 32 between Otto Olsen and Randall Hall is closed, effective immediately. That closure is expected to be permanent.
Because of the closure, the Lot 10 driveway between Otto Olsen and the Wellness Center is now open to two-way traffic.
Lot 13 – between Otto Olsen and the Memorial Student Affairs Building – can be accessed using the driveway between Otto Olsen and the Fine Arts Building, on the east end of Lot 10. This driveway is currently one lane, so drivers are asked to use caution and watch for oncoming vehicles until the street can be widened.
Currently, Lots 10 and 13 have not been reassigned for permits other than faculty/staff.
As the Otto Olsen demolition progresses, there will be times when Lot 13 may not be accessible.
