Donations being collected to support Kearney-area children in foster care

 The University of Nebraska Kearney College of Arts & Sciences & K-Town Shakedown, LLC are partnering for the month of February to accept your donations to support children in foster care within the community of Kearney and surrounding areas. Shower foster children with love from our community by providing any of the following items listed below. All donations will be given to COMPASS Nebraska to be used and dis¬tributed appropriately. Items Needed by February 29th Carry-on Sized Luggage Rubbermaid storage totes Gently used children’s clothing (any age – infant to teen) New clothing (any age – infant to teen) Bottled water Disposable cups, plates, silverware Sippy cups Small lotions Puff snacks (for babies) Individual wrapped snacks (granola bars, fruit snacks, etc.) Individual wrapped toothbrushes Night lights Small toys, NOT stuffed animals - they already have a lot! Board games/family games Foldable canvas totes Individual wrapped bags of microwave popcorn 3 in 1 shampoos for kids Shampoos and conditioners for teens Kids socks/underwear Journals and fun pens $5 or $10 gift cards Feminine hygiene products Books Kleenex (individual size) Cosmetic bags Fingernail polish Hair brushes Playing cards Drop off sites for donations will be U.N.K. (multiple locations, see below), Museum of Nebraska Art, and K-Town Shakedown (2003 Central Ave.) during any regularly scheduled class times (https://www.ktownshakedown.com/schedule). U.N.K drop off sites - Calvin T. Ryan Library, Cushing Athletics Office, Bruner Hall of Science - Health Sciences office, College of Arts and Sciences - Dean’s Office, Copeland rm#240, Warner Hall rm#2244, and Fine Arts Building rm#214.
