Japanese cooking demonstration will teach how to make Udon

UdonStudents in the Japanese 101 class at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will share their culture and host a cooking demonstration for the campus community and public.

The event is at 12:20 p.m. Monday in the demonstration kitchen located inside the UNK Wellness Center.

Those attending will learn how to make Udon, Japanese noodles made of wheat flour, then share lunch.

The event is organized by Yukiko Akai and Michiko Bergman with the All Education Academy, a nonprofit organization based in Japan.

The cooking demonstration is free and open to the public and limited to the first 30 people who sign up. To reserve a spot, contact Ryo Suzuki at suzukir2@lopers.unk.edu or 308.627.8248.
