UNK partners with Kearney Cab to offer free rides on Cruise Nite

Cruise Nite LogoKEARNEY – The University of Nebraska Kearney Safe Ride program is partnering with Kearney Cab Co. to offer free rides to students during Cruise Nite.

The service is being offered within the Kearney city limits from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday (July 15). Students must present their UNK student ID to use the service.

No detours or stops are allowed between the point of pick up and destination. Safe Rides do not run from campus to a residential area, or from one residence to another. The program does provide rides from any bar to a residence, or from a residential area back to campus.

UNK’s Safe Ride program provides students an alternative to drinking and driving. The program is primarily funded through H&H Distributing.

To use the Safe Ride service on Cruise Nite, call 308-234-6725.
