Cole Swindell headlines April 22 concert at University of Nebraska at Kearney

Cole Swindell ConcertKEARNEY – One of Nashville’s most exciting young performers is headlining this spring’s concert at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Cole Swindell – named New Artist of the Year at the 2015 Annual Academy of Country Music Awards – will perform at 7 p.m. April 22 at UNK’s Health and Sports Center.

Tickets are for UNK students and for the public. All tickets are general admission and go on sale at 8 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 24) at www.unk.edu/Swindell. Tickets increase to for UNK students and for the public day of show.

A country singer who adds touches of rock, pop and hip-hop to his songs, Swindell built his reputation as an award-winning songwriter after producing hit singles for artists such as Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett.

His self-titled debut album “Cole Swindell” was released in 2014 and produced four consecutive hit singles: “Chillin’ It,” “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey,” and his latest No. 1 smash “Let Me See Ya Girl.” All four singles hit No. 1 on country music charts, with “Chillin’ It” going Platinum certified for more than 1 million copies sold.

The single “You Should Be Here” – off Swindell’s forthcoming second album – was released in December.

The concert is organized and sponsored by Loper Programming and Activities Council.
