KEARNEY – Steve Schrodt has been named director of creative services at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He assumed his new duties Monday (July 21).
Schrodt is responsible for leading the Creative Services Department and oversight of UNK’s needs in the following areas: website/social media, videography/multimedia, graphic design, printing and mailing.
The department is also responsible for the administration, enforcement and interpretation of university branding and identity standards.
Creative Services operates within the Division of Business & Finance. Schrodt will work with the management team of Business & Finance as well as the director of marketing in coordinating and producing brand materials and messages that convey UNK information to a myriad of audiences.
An experienced manager of print and creative services operations, Schrodt has served as print shop manager at UNK since 2009. He taught a course in print production at UNK and previously owned his own printing business in Fremont, which is where he began providing services to the UNK Athletic Department.
“Schrodt has a passion for creative services work. He has a keen eye for imagery and will lead the creative team to produce products for UNK that will leave observers with indelible images of the institution,” said Barbara Johnson, vice chancellor for business and finance.
