Venkatesh Namachivayam receives KUDOS award from Board of Regents

Venkatesh Namachivayam mugVenkatesh Namachivayam, business analyst in UNK’s division of Information Technology Services, received the University of Nebraska Board of Regents KUDOS award on May 30.

KUDOS awards recognize university staff for their professional expertise, service and “superior dedication” to UNK and the University of Nebraska.

Namachivayam started his UNK career in 2011 supporting Nebraska Student Information System (NeSIS) users. For the past two years, his primary responsibility has been support for the Talisma Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) used by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for recruiting prospective students.

Namachivayam wrote the interface and made changes to the system to improve processes used by admissions staff members and automate their work. He is now involved in implementation of the CRM system for Graduate Admissions and eCampus.

He was recognized for his professionalism, knowledge and customer service. The offices Namachivayam supports say their staff could not do their jobs without his expertise and willingness to help. His commitment to UNK was evident in April when he took a laptop to India while visiting his family so he could respond to any needs at UNK.

Namachivayam was recognized and given his KUDOS award at the Board of Regents meeting in Lincoln, which also was attended by his brother, Ganesh Namachivayam; sister-in-law, Gayatri Namachivayam; his aunt and former UNK faculty member, Vani Kotcherlakota; UNK Chancellor Doug Kristensen; and his supervisor, UNK Assistant Vice Chancellor for Information Technology, Deborah Schroeder.
