KEARNEY – Hundreds of job openings – from elementary school teachers to school psychologists to speech language pathologists – will be featured at the Educator’s Employment Fair at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

The Educator’s Employment Fair is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday (March 18) in the Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room.

“It’s a good opportunity for any students who are looking for professions in education. Whether it’s school psychology, school counseling, elementary education or any profession in public or private schools, they are going to be represented at the fair,” said Traci Gunderson, UNK academic and career advisor.

Forty-three employers from seven states – Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, Colorado and Kansas – will be at the event.

Some employers will be ready to interview students at the fair. The event is open to the public.

“Any student, regardless if they are near graduation, can attend,” Gunderson said. “It will help them see what to expect, what’s coming as they move through their education.”

Students who have already graduated are also invited.
