KEARNEY – Jonathan Hunzeker of Minden was selected as a winner of the 2013 UNK Concerto/Aria Competition held in October.
As part of the honor, he will play Ferdinand David’s “Concertino” with the UNK Wind Ensemble at their April 24 concert, which is held in conjunction with the UNK Symphonic Band. The free show is at 7:30 p.m. at the Fine Arts Building Recital Hall on campus.
Hunzeker is a senior trombone performance major and member of the UNK Wind Ensemble.
Winners of the Concerto/Aria Competition are selected through auditions that are judged by a three-person faculty jury. The competition recognizes and celebrates outstanding student performers at UNK.
