KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney is among the top Nebraska colleges with the best student-teacher ratios.

The Online College Database ranks UNK second in the state with a student-faculty ratio of 16 to 1.

The database ranked post-secondary institutions in Nebraska with enrollments exceeding 5,000 students, but with less than 20 students per faculty member. Private and for-profit colleges were excluded.

The Online College Database is a nonprofit organization that provides information about colleges, universities, community colleges and vocational schools. Data sources include the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the US Census and American Fact Finder.
