Music of The Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Toto and Michael Jackson will be performed at the Nebraskats concert at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
The concert, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall, is free and open to the public.
The performance will also feature selections from the soundtrack of “Slumdog Millionaire” and include a song for the holiday season made popular by Mariah Carey.
Accompanying the Nebraskats will be pianist Nancy Curry of Columbus and drummer Luke Friesen of Grand Island. Members of the Nebraskats are selected through competitive auditions held in the spring.
“The Nebraskats are a singing and dancing entertainment ensemble, presenting some of the finest popular music,” said Dr. Andrew White, director of the Nebraskats. “We will also be performing at Old Navy on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 5 p.m.
