JAPANESE FESTIVAL SET FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 10

Japanese fashion, fried noodles and games will be part of the offerings at the Japanese Festival on Saturday, March 10, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

The event, which is sponsored by the Japanese Association of Kearney (JAK), will be held from 5 – 8:30 p.m. in the Ponderosa Room, located on the second floor of the Nebraskan Student Union.

Among the foods that the UNK Japanese students will serve are curry and rice, fried noodles and Japanese flavored fried chicken. In addition, they will demonstrate various aspects of Japanese culture, such as a Japanese fashion show, Origami, calligraphy and Japanese Summer Festival games.
