“Into The Dark” is the theme of the University of Nebraska at Kearney Symphonic Band Concert set for Thursday, March 8.

The concert, which will be directed by Dr. Michael Beard, UNK assistant director of bands and an assistant professor of music and teacher education, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

“We will be featuring the music of Daniel Bukvich, with a piece which is performed in the dark, ‘Dusk’ by Steven Bryant, which does a wonderful job of portraying the colors of the sunset, and ‘The Seventh Seal,’ with the name taken from the last seal in the Book of Revelations, by W. Francis McBeth, who recently passed away,” Dr. Beard said.
