More than 200 Cub Scouts from the Overland Trails Council are expected to participate in the Fiji Cub Scout Games set for 1-5 p.m. Saturday on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.
UNK members of Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) fraternity are hosting the event, which will take place on the UNK Foster Field.
According to Andy Gilg, a Fiji from Central City, some of the games will include soccer kick, “discuss” throw (using Frisbees), the 50-yard dash, long jump, tug-of-war competition and parachute.
The event coordinator is Fiji Dillon Johnson, a UNK music business major from North Platte.
In case of inclement weather, the event will take place indoors on the UNK Cushing Coliseum indoor track.
