Dancing, singing and magic will be part of the student FAME Talent Show at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Thursday, March 10.
The talent show will be at 7 p.m. in the Ponderosa Room, which is located on the second floor of the Nebraskan Student Union.
“In the past, we have had a number singing acts both in groups and solos,” said Heather Wolf, UNK student activities coordinator. “Different types of dancing, ranging from hip hop to Irish step dancing, have been performed. We’ve even had acts like sign language to music and rubrics cube solving.”
Group and single performances will compete for monetary prizes. Group performance prizes for first, second and third place are $300, $200 and $100, respectively. Single performance prizes for first, second and third place are $200, $150 and $50, respectively.
“Loper Programming and Activities Council hosts this event annually to showcase all the different types of talent that UNK students have,” Wolf said. FAME is free and open to the public.
