‘How to Give Your Dreams a Chance to Come True’ Topic of UNK Presentation Thursday

Carlos Andres Arias, national director of Alpha & Omega International Student Association (AOISA), will speak at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Thursday, Nov. 18.

Arias’ presentation, “How to Give Your Dreams a Chance to Come True,” will be at 7 p.m. in the Multicultural Center, located in the Nebraskan Student Union.

Arias graduated from UNK in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and international studies. He also was a number one ranked UNK tennis player for three years.

Arias has been involved with AOISA since 1999. He became director of the International Center of Integral Theotherapy (CENTI) in Illinois in 2003. In 2006, he was named the New Jersey CENTI director. Since 2008, he has been the AOISA director for the North American Region, which covers the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.

Arias has given motivational talks at conferences in Colombia, Chile, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Canada.

The presentation, which is sponsored jointly by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and AOISA, is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided after the presentation.
