UNK– University of Nebraska at Kearney students can test their skills in the game of laser tag on Thursday, Feb. 4.

The Loper Programming and Activities Council (LPAC) is sponsoring the event, which will take place from 5-11 p.m. in the Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room.

The event is free to UNK students, who can register by calling the UNK Welcome Desk at 308.865.8523 anytime between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

According to Heather Wolf, UNK coordinator of student activities, laser tag involves a person’s ability to hit their target in three vulnerable areas while ensuring that they don’t become a target themselves. Students may play alone or on a team of up to four people. A maximum of 10 people may go through the course within a 10-minute time frame.

“Last year, we had more than 300 students participate,” Wolf said.

The top three teams of the evening will be awarded prizes, including UNK T-shirts and movie passes.
