Holiday Choral Concert Set for Friday, Dec. 4, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Kearney

A Holiday Choral Concert, featuring three choirs from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, will take place on Friday, Dec. 4, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Kearney.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will include the University Men’s Chorus, the University Women’s Chorus and the UNK Vocal Collegium. Each choir will perform a selection of songs related to the holidays, and will include vocal and instrumental soloists throughout the concert.

The University Men’s Chorus will open the concert with “Medieval Gloria” and conclude their segment with “Away in a Manger” and “Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day.” The University Women’s Chorus will perform “Fear Not Good Shepherds” and “The Little Drummer Boy.”

The UNK Vocal Collegium, a small group known for performing a cappella literature, will conclude the concert with “Infant Holy,” “People, Look East” and “Christmas Time is Here.”
