Curt Carlson, vice chancellor for university relations and Glennis Nagel, interim director of the (new) offi ce of media relations and internal communications have led the development of this attractive new publication and will serve as co-editors.
The Columns will report on the accomplishments of the institution, and its contributions to the community and to society at large. It will also report on important issues facing UNK and progress we are making toward institutional goals and objectives.
This important new communication vehicle is designed to provide another way to enhance the intellectual and cultural climate of the university, and to provide recognition of major successes of departments and individuals.
While space will not permit coverage of every campus event and individual accomplishment, a Columns Web site (http://columns.unk.edu) will augment the printed piece with added content.
We hope you enjoy this publication as an important new feature of campus life.
