Join Keanna Leonard for Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary as she guides you and your family through a hands-on approach to nature.  No batteries are required and no previous experience in drawing or journaling is needed!  Just bring a journal for the whole family to use, pencils, pens or crayons and your sense of wonder.  Please pre-register for the workshop by October 17 to 308.865.8284. 

Holiday Card Stamping, October 25, 1:30-2:30
 
       Get a jumpstart making your own Christmas cards in this workshop led by Sue Divan!  All supplies will be furnished for you to make two cards and all materials are furnished for you.  Sue will also share ideas for Halloween and Thanksgiving cards.  Bring along your creativity, friends and family!  Please pre-register for the workshop by October 24 to 308.865.8284.

Experience an intimate parlor performance by five of Kearney’s finest flutists including University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Franzisca Nabb. 

The Panic of the 1890’s: A Frank Lesson for Today, November 8
 
       Examine the financial situation of the 1890’s in a panel discussion with UNK faculty, students and alums.   Compare and contrast the current national and global economic environment. The week of November 3-8 is “Smart Money Week: Learning to manage your money, because money doesn’t come with instructions.”  What lessons can we borrow from the past?   

Titanic “Pre-Sail”, November 15
 
       
Are you curious about the Frank House annual event “Remember the Titanic?” What is a dinner theatre-in-the entirety?  What makes this experience the ultimate dinner theatre?  Why remember the Titanic?  What happens March 28, 2009, and how do you purchase tickets? For answers to all of your questions, join Gloria LeDroit as she lifts anchor for pre-sail of the main event.

       Would you like to hear the House’s square grand piano sing? Sada Hotovy will perform in the Drawing Room while sharing the square grand pianos’ history. 

University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Flute Studio Performance, December 6
 
       Welcome December’s chill with the warm sounds of flutes in concert by the grand hall fireplace.
