UNK Art Department Announces Student Art Award Winners

Jeremy Eggleston’s “Ambient” piece, a latex paint on canvas, was named Best of Show in the University of Nebraska at Kearney Art Society’s annual juried Undergraduate Art Exhibition now up in the Walker Art Gallery in the UNK Fine Arts Building.
           The annual exhibition recognizes undergraduate art students and allows them the opportunity to display their work to the campus and the public. The faculty chose 75 artworks for the exhibition out of more than 150 entries.
           Artist Brian Hutchinson served as the guest juror. Hutchinson works as a printmaker, sculptor, draughtsman and mixed media artist while also exhibiting nationally. He is currently working on his master of fine arts at Fort Hays (Kansas) State University. He selected the winners of the Best of Show; and gold, silver and bronze awards for each category.
