Senior Citizens Prom NIght Set For Friday, March 28, At Kearney Senior Hospitality Center

Spring is prom season, but prom night this Friday in Kearney is prom night with a twist. University of Nebraska at Kearney members of Circle K are hosting a Golden Age Prom at the Kearney Senior Hospitality Center.
       “The event is open to anyone 55 and older,” said Rebecka Schimonitz, a UNK student from Grand Island and publicity chair for the event. “They can relive their senior prom whether they wear old dresses, if they still have a prom dress, or any fancy dress they may have in their closet.”
       The Golden Age Prom is an annual event the UNK student group hosts. The event is free and open to the public. No advance registration is needed.
       “We have a DJ who plays music from the 60’s and 70’s,” she added.
