The month of March is a month of Stories, Saturdays at the Frank House.
The following, “Saturdays at the Frank House” events are brought to you by the University of Nebraska at Kearney. They are open to the public with no admission charge. Donations are always appreciated.
March 1st, 1:30pm in honor of Women’s History Month, Sarah Jones will share stories about important women in the early history of Kearney.
March 9th, 1:30pm, in honor of Women’s History Month, Sarah Jones will present the story of Eliza, a woman who played a significant role in the history of the Frank House and Kearney.
March 15th, 1:30, Readings will be presented by one or more Fellows involved in UNK’s “Honoring the Sandhill Cranes Migration Tribute Retreat.” being held at the Frank House and Rowe Sanctuary. The international and indigenous authors are considering the 60 million year phenomenon of the crane migration into the area.
March 22nd, 1:30pm, Story-teller, Mary Henning, will share her art and joy with all children aged 1-100! Come ready to enjoy a sampling of her stories the way only Mary can tell them!

Guided public tours of The Frank House, 10:30-11:30 a.m. every Saturday. These tours highlight the history and art of the Victorian mansion and its contents.
The big story, “Remember the Titanic!” events will be held, March 29th.
The Friends of the Frank House are sponsoring three fundraising events, May 29th, in memory of the sinking of the Titanic, 96 years ago. Proceeds are to benefit UNK’s Frank House. Call Gloria LeDroit, 308-234-3476, M-F, for tickets and more information.
1:30-3:00pm, March 29th, the public is invited to “Come Aboard” and tour the story setting for the “Night to Remember the Titanic!” ($1/person at the door)
3:30pm, March 29th, a drawing to win a beautiful, full-size hand-crafted replica of an RMS Titanic deck chair will be held.
5:30pm, March 29th, Kearney’s Ultimate Titanic Dinner Theatre-in-the-Entirety will be presented at the Frank House. Only 11 tickets will be sold to this 8-course formal dinner.
