The third annual Dr. Kent Estes Memorial Golf Tournament will be held in honor of the late professor Saturday, April 21, at 8 a.m. at the Meadowlark Golf Course.

Proceeds from the event help fund the two memorial scholarships that were established after Dr. Estes’ death in 2005. The tournament, which is hosted by the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, has brought in more than $16,000 for the memorial scholarships in the past. All proceeds from the event support the scholarships.

The tournament will be a four-man scramble. The price is $75 for each team member, which includes cart rental, lunch and 18 holes of golf. The registration fee can be paid in advance or on the day of the tournament.

“Participants are urged to register for the event by April 14, as registration space is limited,” said Josh Hanshaw, chapter president of the fraternity said.

Persons who are unable to participate, but still wish to donate, may do so by contacting Aaron Smith at smithaj@unk.edu or by calling 402-369-1184.
