MARKETING EXECUTIVE TO PRESENT ‘AGENCY OPPORTUNITIES’ WEDNESDAY, FEB. 28, AT UNK

Phil Johnson, chief operating officer of the Minneapolis-based marketing communication agency Colle McVoy, will present “Agency Opportunities” on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
     
Beginning at 4 p.m. in Mitchell Center, Room 147, Johnson will speak about his agency’s work and talk about career opportunities available in a full service agency. His presentation is sponsored by the UNK Advertising and Public Relations (Ad/PR) Club, and the event is free and open to the public.
     
Before his presentation, Johnson will meet with Ad/PR Club members during lunch and the club’s regular 2:30 p.m. meeting time. He will discuss why now is an excellent time to enter the advertising field.
     
With approximately 30 years of experience in the marketing communication field with accounts in both consumer and business-to-business sectors, Johnson is a veteran in his profession. He has served a decade in management positions and has facilitated the launch of several new products and services.
     
Accounts Johnson has worked on include Associated Bank, The Iams Company, CHS, Land O’Lakes, Explore Minnesota Tourism, Novartis, Pfizer, 3M, Weather Shield Windows & Doors, Winnebago Industries, CNH Global and Minnesota State Lottery.
     
Colle McVoy is a 70-year-old marketing communication firm with 150 employees. It is the 70th largest advertising agency in the U.S.
