UNK STUDENT FROM HOLDREGE RECEIVES FELLOWSHIP FROM SIGMA BETA DELTA HONOR SOCIETY

Dawn Marie Schemper, a University of Nebraska at Kearney business major from Holdrege, has been named the 2006 Sigma Beta Delta Fellowship recipient.
    
Schemper will receive $750 to be used for the 2006-2007 academic year. To be eligible for the award, a business student must rank in the upper 20 percent of the junior, senior or master’s class and be a member of Sigma Beta Delta honor society. Membership in Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society in business, management and administration, is by invitation by faculty officers. The organization encourages and recognizes student scholarship and achievement.
    
Sigma Beta Delta will be superseded by Beta Gamma Sigma on the UNK campus. Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society for AACSB International accredited schools. UNK undergraduate and master’s degrees in business earned international accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) last spring.
