GEORGE NORRIS SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON TO BE HELD THURSDAY, SEPT. 30 AT UNK

The annual George Norris Scholarship Luncheon will feature the Honorable Karen Hunt at  noon on Thursday, Sept. 30, in the Nebraskan Student Union Great Room on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.

Judge Hunt, the 2004 George W. Norris Distinguished Lecturer, is a 1961 graduate of Kearney State College/UNK. She was a Superior Court judge in Anchorage, Alaska, for 10 years and retired in 2000.

While on the bench, Judge Hunt served the community training boards of directors on their rights and responsibilities as board members. She continues to volunteer this service and is currently traveling to several Alaskan communities to train the boards of directors of community acute care rural hospitals.

The luncheon is $12 and is open to the public. For more information and to make reservations call the UNK Department of Political Science at 308.865.8506.
