THE ACCOUNTING SOCIETY IN THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY AT UNK HAS ELECTED NEW OFFICERS

The Accounting Society in the University of Nebraska at Kearney College of Business and Technology has elected new officers for the 2004-2005 academic year.

The UNK Accounting Society officers, listed alphabetically by hometown, include:

Albion– Jennifer Stephens, vice president of membership;
Butte– Amanda Schoenefeld, vice president of finance;
Fairbury– Mark Rhine, president;
Humphrey– Lynn Keller, vice president of communication.

The Accounting Society has business meetings throughout the academic year. Members tour professional accounting firms and are involved in philanthropic activities, as well as social activities. In addition the students have the opportunity to provide those in need with accounting services during tax time. Opportunities for developing leadership, networking, and communication skills are available.
