Approximately 232 University of Nebraska at Kearney students will participate in the 6th Annual Student Research Day on Monday, April 26, in the Nebraskan Student Union.
“The purpose of Student Research Day is to highlight and celebrate student research, give recognition to the faculty who provide the opportunity for this research and allow other students to become aware of the opportunities of research,” said Dr. Ken Nikels, dean of the Office of Graduate Studies & Research.
Throughout the day, there will be a poster session with 141 presentations, language and literature presentations by 15 students, 18 research presentations and an exhibit by the art student award recipients.
A noon luncheon, for all the student participants and faculty mentors, will feature Dr. Mike Nelson, past president of the Council on Undergraduate Research. The luncheon will be in Room 238 of the Nebraskan Student Union.
At the conclusion of the day, there will be a Student Research Day awards reception at 3:30 p.m. in Room 238 of the Nebraskan Student Union. Student research and faculty mentor awards will be presented at that time.
