The University of Nebraska at Kearney held the third annual Emeriti & Retired Faculty Appreciation Luncheon at the Holiday Inn on April 1. One hundred fifteen emeriti and retired faculty and staff were among the 130 attending the luncheon. Two of the attendees were Don Briggs, former UNK sports information director and Al Zikmund, former Kearney State athletic director.

“This luncheon is to thank retired and emeriti faculty and staff for their years of service and continued support of UNK,” Faith Hueftle, assistant director of annual giving & communications for University of Nebraska Foundation said.

Roger Jones, vice president and campus director of development for the University of Nebraska Foundation at Kearney and UNK Chancellor Doug Kristensen spoke during the luncheon event.
