It’s official! The 12th ranked Loper football team (9-1) gets at least one more home game this season when they host 20th-ranked Texas A & M Kingsville (8-2) on Saturday, November 23 for the first round game in the NCAA Division II playoffs. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Foster Field.

The Lopers have never reached a playoff game since becoming a Division II NCAA school. As a NAIA school, the last time UNK reached a playoff game was in 1979.

Texas A & M Kingsville is the third seed and currently has the highest winning percentage in Division II history (68.8). If the Lopers win on Saturday, they will face the winner of unbeaten Central Washington (11-0) and fourth seed California-Davis (8-2).

Tickets are $8 for reserved grandstand seating and general admission is $5. Tickets for UNK students with a valid I.D. is $3. Season ticket holders will get to purchase tickets Monday from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Health & Sports Center.

The general public can purchase tickets on Tuesday morning at the Health & Sports Center and the NU Foundation Office (corner of 2nd Ave and 39th St.) any time from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Any ticket questions please call the UNK athletic department at 865-8330.
