The Kearney Area Symphony Orchestra will open its 97th season on October 15 with the concert entitled “M & M’s–a concert of M Composers” at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Nebraska at Kearney Fine Arts Recital Hall.
The concert will feature music from composers whose names begin with the letter “M”. Works performed will include Meyerbeer’s Coronation March, Mendelssohn and Mozart.

“The 2002-2003 KASO season is very exciting from the standpoint of the music being played. The orchestra is larger than usual with excellent performers and I look forward to strong performances,” said KASO director Ron Crocker, UNK professor of music and performing arts.

Tickets will sell for $6 for general admission and $5 for seniors. They can be purchased at the door or by calling the UNK Music Office at 865-8618.
