John Janecek, a 1990 University of Nebraska at Kearney graduate recently won the Masters Nationals Olympic Weightlifting Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Janecek wrestled for Kearney State College while receiving a degree in Fitness and Leisure Management.
Janecek is a physical education teacher at an elementary school in Dallas. He previously was a strength coach for various Division I colleges.
