The Rural and Urban Education Policy Seminar will be held Thursday, Nov. 29 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Ockinga Seminar Center on the west campus of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. This seminar will allow you to: understand the intricacies specific to education policymaking; identify, develop, and analyze policy objectives and outcomes; and promote responsible educational alternatives to existing practices.
Seminar leaders will be Ardyce Bohlke, former Nebraska State Senator, current Executive Director of NebraskaÕs Dollars for Scholars Program; Doug Christensen, Nebraska Commissioner of Education and Chief Executive Officer of the Nebraska State Board of Education since 1994; Jody Isernhagen, Associate Professor of Educational Administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The seminar fee with prior registration (by Nov. 28 at noon): $25, includes full day seminar, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and seminar supplies.
