UNK-The Nebraska Safety Center, University of Nebraska at Kearney, provided safety training to the employees of Lyman Richey Sand and Gravel of Omaha.
These participants received “annual refresher training” as required by the Mine Safety and Health Administration. This safety training included a focus on hazardous materials, first aid, hazard recognition, safe equipment operations, hand tools, and a review of injuries and fatalities occurring within the mining community. The participants received hands-on training on the types and uses of fire extinguishers.
