Applauding Excellence awards recognize outstanding UNK students, organizations

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced Wednesday the winners of this year’s Applauding Excellence awards. Established in 2012 by the Division of Student Affairs, these awards celebrate the exceptional work of student leaders, organizations and advisers on campus. UNK workshop focus is human trafficking, warning signs

KEARNEY – The Women’s Center and International Justice Mission at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is hosting a workshop on Human Trafficking. The event, free and open to the public, is from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Ponderosa Room inside the Nebraskan Student Union. UNK panel to discuss warning signs, how to handle stalking

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney is hosting a Stalking Awareness Panel to increase knowledge about the issue, discuss warning signs and help guide people on what they should do if they, or someone they know, is being stalked.
