Kearney Symphony Orchestra presenting annual holiday concert Tuesday evening

KEARNEY – Kearney Symphony Orchestra will perform its annual holiday concert 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Fine Arts Recital Hall. This year’s program, “Classic Traditions,” features a number of well-known selections, along with a twist. The UNK Jazz/Rock Ensemble and Jazz Combo performed a two-part concert Thursday evening in the Fine Arts Building. Kearney Symphony Orchestra performing outdoor concert Saturday at Frank Museum

KEARNEY – More than 30 years have passed since Kearney Symphony Orchestra last performed an outdoor concert. So, you definitely don’t want to miss this weekend’s show. The UNK Jazz/Rock Ensemble performed a free public concert Wednesday evening at the Fine Arts Recital Hall on campus. The performance was directed by UNK music professor Tim Farrell, with UNK student and guitarist Carlos Vargas serving as assistant director.
