Kearney, Neb., March 28, 2013 — Mezzo soprano Sydney Clifton of Grand Island will perform her vocal performance degree junior recital on April 6 in the University of Nebraska at Kearney Fine Arts Recital Hall.
The recital, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 3 p.m.
Clifton will be performing three pieces from the musical “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” three by Franz Schubert, two by Samuel Barber, one piece from the opera “Mignon,” and two comic chamber opera arias.
She will be joined by singers Codie Milford of Burlington, Colo., and Liz Liebermann of Omaha, and accompanied by pianist Nancy Curry.
Clifton, daughter of Chuck and Deana Perkins and Craig Clifton, is a vocal performance major.
