University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Forensics team competed at the Doane Nut Forensics Tournament on November 2. The Forensics team placed fourth in team sweepstakes while competing against teams from throughout Nebraska and Kansas.Freshman Kenny Hopkins of North Platte, was the tournament champion in After Dinner Speaking. Kirk Burtwistle, senior of Stanton, placed second in Impromptu Speaking, second in After Dinner Speaking, third in Extemporaneous Speaking and fourth in Quadrathon (best of four events). Placing seventh in Duo Interpretation, was Hopkinson, with freshman Alisha Nabity of Malcolm.
