The University of Nebraska at Kearney Pride of the Plains Marching Band and alumni will honor Dr. Ronald Crocker, UNK professor of music and performing arts, on October 12 with a new award created in his name.
The UNK Band has created “The Ronald J. Crocker, UNK Pride of the Plains Band Distinguished Service Award” which will be presented to Crocker during the half-time festivities at the UNK football game scheduled for 1 p.m. at Foster Field.
According to Dr. Neal Schnoor, UNK professor of music and performing arts, “The award honors Dr. Crocker’s tireless service to UNK, our students, music, music education and music educators across the state of Nebraska.”
