2001 FACULTY COLLEGE TO BE HELD AT UNK

UNK will host the 2001 Faculty College on May 9-11. This is the 14th annual conference of the Nebraska Teaching Improvement Council (NTIC), a consortium of public and private institutions of higher education throughout Nebraska. The theme for the event is “Faculty Support, Inspiration, and Innovation in a Changing World.”

Presentations will be made involving mentoring and inspiration for new faculty, the changing technological environment, innovative approaches to teaching in the humanities and sciences and inspiration for faculty/faculty support issues.

The event will include various sessions given by various faculty members from colleges throughout Nebraska including several presenters from UNK. The conference is restricted to only Nebraska faculty members. Organizers are expecting nearly 100 faculty to attend the conference.

The keynote address will be given on Wednesday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at a picnic held north of West Center on the West Campus of UNK. The keynote speaker is Dr. Betty Siegel, President of Kennesaw University in Georgia.
