Top Two Graduating Students in Criminal Justice Recognized

The top two graduating students in Criminal Justice were recognized in a ceremony on May 3. The two students are Jamie Friedel of O’Neill and David Matthew Ramsey of Auburn.

Friedel graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1997 and is a Criminal Justice major and Sociology minor at UNK. She has also been a tutor in these two fields. She has served as the treasurer of the Criminal Justice Club and did her internship last summer with the I Believe in Me Ranch in Kearney. She plans to find a job in the Kearney area following graduation.

Ramsey is a 1991 graduate of Auburn High School. He is a Criminal Justice major that did a 400-hour internship with the Nebraska State Patrol’s canine and traffic divisions. He is a corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and is currently applying with the Nebraska State Patrol. He is the son of David and Nancy Ramsey.
