How on Earth? Applications of GIS for Real-World Problems is being presented at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Copeland Hall, Room 205, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The presentation is one of three being given this week on the UNK campus as part of National Geography Awareness Week. Dr. Paul Burger, UNK assistant professor of geography, is the presenter. He will give an overview of applications in both vector and raster data models in areas such as network allocation, facilities management, bus routing, site selection, redistricting and natural resources.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
