HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS EARN TOP AWARDS AT 24TH ANNUAL BUSINESS COMPETITION DAY AT UNK

Business students from 18 area Nebraska high schools recently competed in the 24^th annual Business Competition Day at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

At the event, which was hosted by the UNK Phi Beta Lambda chapter, students took part in 18 business contents competitions. Awards were given for the top six places, and first-place winners received a medal and certificate.

“Business Competition Day is just one of the ways the PBL gives back to the community interacting with students in grades 7-12,” said Dr. Janet Lear, UNK assistant professor of economics.

Phi Beta Lambda is the collegiate division of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda and is open to all students interested in the world of business. The UNK Lambda Rho Chapter has been active for 45 years.
